A very happy 2022!

Education and Solidarity Network
January 10, 2022

Dear friends of the Education and Solidarity Network,

At the beginning of this new year, we wish you well and give you our warmest messages of support, encouragement and hope.

In light of the recent major health, socio-economic and climate challenges of these last few months, which have led to both the mental and physical exhaustion of the wider society and indeed our own education and health personnel, our solidarity organisations have yet again showed that their model and militant strengths provide effective responses to current challenges. A more united, humane and fairer world is possible!

At the heart of our Network, thanks to your concerted efforts, we are proud to have been able to carry out many international projects in 2021, such as the launch of the International Barometer of the Health and Well-Being of Education Personnel or intergenerational exchanges on universal health coverage.

This year, we will continue to host our meetings on both health and education, as well as on facilitating new solidarity projects. The Education and Solidarity Network will remain a shared space to improve our practices on issues such as health promotion, values and principles of the social and solidarity economy, better living, ecological transitioning and social justice, as well as being a soundboard for sharing our initiatives that have humanity, democracy and solidarity at their core.

At the start of this new year, I would like to thank you for your commitment to the Education and Solidarity Network. Together, we will continue to spread our values across all countries and borders to ensure the rights to health, a quality education and social protection for all.

We wish you all the best for 2022, and hope that this new year brings you the pleasure of being and acting together again.

Matthias Savignac

President of the Education and Solidarity Network
