Education International (EI), the Association Internationale de la Mutualité (AIM) and the Mutuelle Générale de l’Education Nationale (MGEN) created the Education & Solidarity Network in 2009 aimed at mobilising education professionals to promote solidarity-based social protection for all. 

The General Assembly to be held on 20 July 2011 on the eve of the EI Congress will be an opportunity to make a first assessment of the Network’s activities.

It will also be an opportunity to hold a debate, during the morning session, that will be open to all Congress participants, on two important subjects:

• The occupational health of education professionals
• The commitment of education professionals to the development of health and social protection education.
